Section 500: Councillors and municipal officers and employees to be public servants.

Every Councillor and every person referred to in clause (b) of sub-section (3) of section 3, the Commissioner, [Omitted] and every municipal officer and other municipal employee shall be deemed to be a public servant within the meaning of section 21 of the Indian Penal Code (45 of 1860), and in the definition of “legal remuneration” in section 161 of that Code the word “Government” shall, for the purpose of this section, be deemed to include the Corporation.
