PRELIMINARY
Section 1 — Short title, extent, application and commencement.
(1) This Act may be called the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and SeniorCitizens Act, 2007.
(2) It extends to the whole of India [Omitted] and it applies also it citizens of India outside India.
(3) It shall come into force in a State on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.
