Section 51: Filling of casual vacancy.

If vacancy of a member in Zilla Parishad occurs because of resignation, death, removal or otherwise, it shall be filled by election in the prescribed manner:

Provided that no election for filling the casual vacancy shall be held if the vacancy is for a period of less than six months.
