OFFENCES AND THEIR TRIAL
Section 26: Offences to be triable by a Magistrate of the first class and not to be compoundable.
Notwithstanding anything contained in the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898 (5 of 1898),—
(a) every offence against this Act shall be triable by a Magistrate of the first class, and
(b) no offence against this Act shall be compoundable.
