Section 14: Punishment for making false statement.

Any person who shall, in making any declaration or or other statement under the authority of this Act, make a statement which is false, and which he either knows or believes to be false, or does not believe to be true, shall, on convictionbefore a Magistrate, be punished by fine not exceeding two thousand rupees, and imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months.
