How do I check Delhi High Court case status?

Go to the eCourts High Court services for Delhi, or the Delhi High Court website case-status page. The fastest lookup is the 16-digit CNR printed on the filing receipt. If you do not have the CNR, search by case type, number and year: W.P.(C) for civil writs, W.P.(CRL) for criminal writs, FAO, RFA, CRL.A., and CS(OS) are the types advocates use most. The result shows current status, the last order date, and the next date of hearing when one is fixed. Party-name search works but returns near-matches, so it is a last resort. For a roster of fifty DHC files, doing this by hand every morning is the job NyayX replaces: add each CNR once and the next date arrives in the diary and on WhatsApp.

Find the DHC record, then stop repeating it.

The portal is correct. The cost is the repetition. Here is the lookup sequence, and where NyayX takes over.

  1. Step 1

    Search by CNR

A Delhi High Court CNR starts with DLHC. Paste all 16 characters. This is the only search that cannot collide with another matter. NyayX accepts the same CNR when you add a case.

  2. Step 2

Or search by case type and number

Pick Delhi High Court, then the case type exactly as registered (including brackets and dots), the number, and the year. A missing dot in W.P.(C) is enough for a blank result.

  3. Step 3

Read next date and last order

Status alone does not tell you whether you must appear tomorrow. Check the next date of hearing and whether an IA is listed separately from the main matter. NyayX stores both on the case card.

  4. Step 4

Match it to today's cause list

Case status can lag the board by a few hours. If you need to know whether you are listed today, open the Delhi High Court cause list and search by your case number or advocate name. NyayX matches the board to your cases on every sync.

Delhi High Court case status questions

Is Delhi High Court case status on eCourts?
Yes. Delhi High Court is on the eCourts High Court services. The same portal also covers other High Courts, which is why you must select Delhi first. For the daily board, use the Delhi High Court cause list guide.
Can I check DHC case status by advocate name?
Yes, on the advocate tab. It is slow for a large practice and easy to miss a junior's spelling. NyayX instead stores the cases you added, so the list is the one you own, not a name search.
Does NyayX sync Delhi High Court case status?
Yes. The product page for Delhi High Court tracking covers Single Judge and Division Bench matters, IAs, and WhatsApp reminders. District-court CNRs are a different lookup: see eCourts case status.
