1. Who We Are
NyayX is a product of Zevnix AI Private Limited (CIN: U62013UP2025PTC228705 · GSTIN: 09AACCZ6939J1ZM), a company incorporated under the Companies Act 2013 in India ("Zevnix AI", "we", "us", or "our"). Zevnix AI operates the NyayX platform, a legal practice management application for Delhi advocates. Our registered address is A-75, Sector B-5/6, TDS City, Loni, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh – 201102, India. By registering for, accessing, or using the Platform, you agree to the collection and processing of data as described in this Privacy Policy.
2. Nature of the Platform and Our Role
NyayX is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) tool that lets advocates manage case diaries, track hearing and next dates, view Bare Acts, and store case files. In respect of any personal data of litigants or clients that you upload to, or fetch into, the Platform, you (the advocate/User) remain the Data Fiduciary (controller) and we act solely as a Data Processor providing storage and software infrastructure on your instructions. We do not own, control, or independently use the client data you store on the Platform. In respect of your own account and registration data, Zevnix AI is the Data Fiduciary.
3. Data We Collect
We collect data across the following categories. Account and registration data — your name, email address, phone number, Bar Council enrolment number, office address, and payment/billing information. Publicly-sourced case data — case numbers, party names, orders, judgments, and hearing/next dates fetched automatically from public sources such as the e-Courts portal based on the parameters you enter. User-generated content — case files, pleadings, notes, and documents you voluntarily upload to our storage. Usage data — pages visited, features used, and device information, used to improve and secure the Platform. We do not collect sensitive personal data except where it is incidental to a case file you choose to upload.
4. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to provide, maintain, and improve the NyayX platform and your subscription; to process subscription payments and manage your account; to send hearing reminders via WhatsApp or email; to respond to support requests; and to comply with applicable law. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your case data to train AI models or provide analytics to any external party.
5. Third-Party Data and e-Courts Disclaimer
The Platform fetches publicly available information from the official e-Courts portal/API to help you track your matters. We do not independently collect or scrape data for commercial sale. Your subscription fee is charged exclusively for our software infrastructure, proprietary management tools, and secure storage facility — it is not a fee for, and does not confer any rights over, the public data fetched from the e-Courts portal. We do not warrant that data sourced from e-Courts is accurate, complete, or current, as it originates from third-party government systems.
6. Data Storage and Security
The NyayX API is hosted on AWS Mumbai (ap-south-1). Case documents are stored on encrypted object storage provided by Cloudflare R2. Data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 and in transit using TLS 1.3. Access to your data is restricted to authorised NyayX personnel on a need-to-know basis, and we conduct regular security audits and penetration testing. We implement robust, industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards; however, since no method of transmission or storage over the internet is 100% secure, you acknowledge that you upload files and data at your own risk.
7. Data Residency
The NyayX API runs on AWS Mumbai (ap-south-1). Documents you upload are stored on Cloudflare R2 encrypted object storage. All sub-processors are contractually bound to protect your data under equivalent security standards.
8. WhatsApp Integration
If you use our WhatsApp integration, your phone number is shared with Meta Platforms Ireland Limited solely for the purpose of delivering messages through the WhatsApp Business API. We do not share case content with Meta. WhatsApp messages are end-to-end encrypted in transit.
9. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your data, or your clients' data, to third-party marketing companies. We share data with trusted infrastructure sub-processors solely to host and operate the Platform — including Amazon Web Services (AWS) for compute and database, Cloudflare R2 for document storage, and Meta Platforms Ireland Limited for WhatsApp delivery (phone number only). We may disclose information where required to comply with a valid court order, legal process, or a lawful request from a statutory or governmental authority under Indian law.
10. Your Rights under DPDP Act 2023
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, you have the right to access, correct, and erase your personal data. You may withdraw consent for data processing at any time by contacting us. You may nominate a representative to exercise your rights on your behalf. To exercise any of these rights, email support@nyayx.com.
11. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, we retain a copy of your data for 30 days to allow you to download it. After 30 days, all personal data is permanently and irreversibly deleted from our servers and backups.
12. Cookies
We use essential cookies only, for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser, though this may affect platform functionality.
13. Changes to This Policy
We will notify you by email and in-app notification at least 14 days before making material changes to this Privacy Policy. Continued use of NyayX after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
