For a Suit for Recovery of Money in Delhi, the court fee is computed on the Annexure 'A' ad-valorem chart of the Court Fees Act 1870 (as extended to Delhi). For example: ₹1,000 → ₹150, ₹10,000 → ₹1,126, ₹50,000 → ₹2,832, ₹1,00,000 → ₹3,320, ₹5,00,000 → ₹7,224. Beyond ₹4 lakhs, an incremental ₹48.50 is added per ₹5,000 (or part thereof).
What is the Vakalatnama fee in Delhi courts?▾
Per Delhi Courts Handbook S. 15.9, the Vakalatnama is ₹1.25 plus a ₹5 Lawyer's Welfare Stamp — ₹6.25 in total. No fee is payable if the accused is in custody.
How much is the Talbana (process fee) in Delhi?▾
Under Delhi Courts Handbook S. 15.2, Talbana is ₹0.75 per form before a Civil Judge or Magistrate, and ₹1.50 per form before an ADJ or ASJ — covering up to four witnesses, with the same amount added for each additional batch of four.
